Was our history meant to be in black & white? Well, many say that the old black & white movies are better that way. Several years back, when the old films were being colorized, many complained that it took the glamour out of the films. That they weren't ment to be in color. The talk was, "leave them alone!"

Recently people have been colorizing the old photographs. But the feelings about this is different. There's something about old black and white photos being in color that fascinates us. Details are brought out much clearer. Maybe it's because we can now see what color eyes Hitler had, or Churchill, or Robert E. Lee.

Whatever the interest, more and more old pictures are being colorized and it's opening up a whole new look on how history appeared to those who lived it.

This blog contains colorized pictures from our history. All of these photos were originally black and white. But with today's computer technology, we are able to finally see "OUR HISTORY IN COLOR".
